Engine light on?

The engine warning light had started to be illuminated while driving. My cheap little £12.00 EOBD fault code reader wouldn't even talk to the X5 so I had to invest in a new toy.


Once I had scrabbled about in the drivers footwell and found the EOBD socket the new reader was plugged in and I managed to navigate to read the stored DTC's


After clearing the codes and then test driving the light was back on, rereading the codes the Heater control circuit code was back. After looking up on google I think the Lamda sensor fitted before the cat needs replacing.
