The long way home........

Left till morning to wait for the recovery wagon I lay myself down across the back seats trying to hide from the drunk and strange people wandering round Leicester at 3.00am in the morning.

I managed to snooze on and off but awoke at 5.00am checking my phone for updates on the recovery wagon. Nothing. I lay there thinking what todo, if I had some water I could limp the X5 home. Finding a Tesco near by that opened at 6.00 I waited till they opened.

Armed with 8L of finest Scottish spring water I walked back to the BMW.

The X5 didn't like the spring water because as quick as I poured it in too the header tank it then ran out down the street!

At 7.00am the recovery wagon driver rang to say he was 10 minutes away , thank god!

The wagon slowly reversed its way down the street and the X5 was winched on aboard and straped down before the hour and half journey home.
